Cholesterol

These fats and cholesterols harden over time into plaques that obstruct blood flow and can lead to occlusion of the artery by a blood clot. Our pharmacists perform lipid testing that identifies patients at high risk for atherosclerosis. Results are used to identify patients who would benefit from being on statin medications. A lipid panel is obtained through a small blood sample and results are readily available to the patient within minutes. Our pharmacists will review the results and make recommendations to your doctor based on your personal history. Counseling and lifestyle modifications will also be offered to ensure optimal outcomes when it comes to your overall health.
