Cholesterol

Atherosclerosis is a cardiovascular disease caused by build?up of fats and cholesterol in the artery walls. These fats and cholesterols harden over time into plaques that obstruct blood flow and can lead to occlusion of the artery by a blood clot. Our pharmacists perform lipid testing that identifies patients at high risk for atherosclerosis. Results are used to identify patients who would benefit from being on statin medications. A lipid panel is obtained through a small blood sample and results are readily available to the patient within minutes. Our pharmacists will review the results and make recommendations to your doctor based on your personal history. Counseling and lifestyle modifications will also be offered to ensure optimal outcomes when it comes to your overall health.

Hba1c testing serves as a guide for counseling and therapy management to improve glycemic control. HBa1c s gives an overall picture of blood glucose levels over a period of 2-3 months. When screened properly, HBa1c monitoring can reduce the risk of microvascular complications such as: retinopathy, neuropathy, and kidney disease by as much as 25%. Contact us today and schedule an appointment for testing to ensure your HBa1c is under control.

Our pharmacists are trained to take blood pressure measurements and go over the results with you. COVID antibodies

COVID-19 is caused by a coronavirus called SARS-CoV-2. There is currently no vaccine available, so it is essential to self-quarantine if you believe you have been exposed. Symptoms of COVID-19 are cough, fever, shortness of breath, sore throat, and sudden loss of taste or smell. If you suspect you have been exposed to COVID-19, testing for presence of antibodies is one way to find out. Your body will make antibodies in response to the virus. We offer COVID-19 antibody testing and consultation. Results for COVID-19 antibody testing are obtained through a small blood sample taken from your finger, similar to blood testing for diabetes.
